A cafe created for the people by the people...

Pop in for a flat white, stay for the chat. We're a community cafe run by volunteers in the heart of Uffculme village.

Number 11 opened in spring 2026 with a simple idea: every village deserves a proper place to meet, where you can find a good cup of coffee, and a warm welcome from your neighbours.

Whether you live locally or you're just passing through, pull up a chair. There's always something worth stopping for.

Join Bre from Ascend for a weekly social run - all paces welcome. Departs from the cafe at 8am and come back for a coffee afterwards.

  ▸ every saturday 9.30-11AM  

A place where members can borrow seldom used things for a week for a small rental charge. Reserve your item online to collect from No 11.

ART CAFE

  ▸ First Thursday every month: 6-8PM  

Come and meet our Artist of the Month, then get creative yourself. Bring your own materials and something to draw from if you can - some basic supplies can be provided too.

Bereavement Café

  ▸ Monthly, Saturday 2-3.30pm  

A safe space open to anyone feeling the loss of a loved one, or wanting to talk about death and dying. Run by experienced volunteers.

Artist of the month

Every month, we hand our gallery wall over to a local artist. There's always something different to look at each time you visit. Often the work is for sale, so you might leave with more than just a coffee...

Are you a local artist?

If you're a local artist and you'd like to be considered, we'd love to have your work on our walls. The space is free, and we take no commission on any sales you make.

We rely on a team of local volunteers to keep Number 11 open and thriving.Whether you can spare a Friday or Saturday morning, would like to join one of our baking sessions or want to help with something specific, we'd love to have you involved. Training is always provided and no experience needed.

From the first lick of paint to the latest event - this is the story of our village cafe.

June 2026

  ▸ Art arrives at the cafe  

June brought the first proper test of our gallery wall, and Alison Longley filled it beautifully. Alison is based here in Uffculme, and her lino prints were on display all month alongside hand painted cards on sale

Alison also hosted our very first Art Café. We weren't sure how many people would come, and we needn't have worried: the tables were full, and there was as much chatting as there was drawing. Exactly what we'd hoped for.
